Teemu Turunen is the Director of the Centre for Peace Mediation of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland. Before this assignment, he was the Finnish Ambassador to Argentina. He is a lawyer specialised in international law. He studied at the University of Turku, and continued his studies by doing a Master in Spain in International Law and Sociology of Law, oriented to conflict resolution. With his 42 years, he is the youngest ambassador of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland. He has been deployed in Caracas, Damascus, Madrid, and Beijing. From 2009 to 2016, he stayed in Finland to take up consular work as Director of Consular Affairs in the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland.
